Last Stand (gamedev.tv GameJam 2024) *UPGRADED*
My Entry for the Gamedev.tv GameJam 2024. My ever first GameJam. Started to code in February. Please be gentle with me.
Controls:
- Mouse = aim for enemies
- LMB = Shoot/Fire
- M = mute Music
- P = Pause
Update v.0.6:
Added SoundFX for shoots and hits. Added Particles for hits and enemy 4 now throws grenades and makes aoe-damage.
Upgrade v0.4:
A lot was added, i try to add all the upgrades here. First there was added a structure-points-bar for the tower. When you click on the Wave-Time the new Wave will start immediately. I added a Titlescreen, so the game starts not directly. A SaveSystem was added with 3 Save Slots. Now you can take a break from the Game. In the PauseMenu you can save to one of the slots. The TitleScreen has different buttons to explore.
In the desolate urban wasteland, the towering remnants of a once-vibrant city loomed over the battlefield. Amidst the shattered buildings and crumbling infrastructure, a lone minigun tower stood as the city's last line of defense. Inside, a skilled player gripped the controls, their heart pounding with a mixture of determination and trepidation. Waves of foreign enemies surged towards the city, their weaponry blazing. The minigun roared to life, spewing a torrent of bullets that tore into the enemy ranks. Shells impacted the tower, but the player held firm, their fingers dancing across the controls with deadly precision. Each burst of fire thinned the enemy hordes, yet the relentless onslaught seemed unstoppable. As the battle reached its climax, the player's fingers began to tremble, their energy waning.
